A Harmony of Synthesis
The college has a dedicated Anti-Ragging Cell which works in accordance with the directives of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. The committee has been constituted to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the bane of ragging including any physical, verbal or written mis-conduct having the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student. Any incidence of ragging must be reported to the Anti-Ragging Cell, which has the right to carry on the appropriate investigation. Students may also report such incidents to the National Anti-Ragging Helpline No. 1800-180-5522.
It is established as per the guidelines of UGC and Hon'ble Supreme Court of India to provide a safe, secure and congenial atmosphere to the staff and the students. Its objective is to combat the scourge of sexual harassment and integrate the guidelines against it for an impartial institutional policy.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has endeavoured to conduct an annual web-based All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) to document the status of Higher Education in the country. The college has constituted this cell, which compiles and uploads reliable and comprehensive institutional data to the AISHE web portal.
The college has set up this committee to promote research projects and activities on the campus. The committee encourages faculty members and students to keep themselves abreast on recent advancements in their respective fields; through interactive sessions with subject experts.
This cell is empowered to address the genuine complaints and grievances of the students and the staff. They are encouraged to use Suggestion Box placed in the campus to express their issues and problems. The cell commits to provide hassle free grievance redressal; thereby creating a democratic and participatory environment.
The cell intends to counsel students regarding academic programmes for higher education, various competitive exams, and employment opportunities in different sectors. Additionally, this cell strives to facilitate the process for summer internships and campus placements for the students, and plans to organize campus drives in the college.
IQAC is established in the college as per the norms of National Action Plan of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation, and quality up-gradation. It ensures a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution and works towards academic excellence.
In pursuance of the directions issued by the UGC and MHRD, the college has set up the Women's Development Cell (WDC) with the vision to initiate conversations and meaningful discussions on women's rights and gender equality. It aims to construct a society where women can live with dignity and work in a safe environment by redefining the age old power structures of patriarchy.
