B.A. B.Ed. & B.Sc. B.Ed. 4 Years Integrated Program

Eligibility : As per university norms admission to the B.A.B.Ed. and B.Sc.B.Ed. (4 years integrated course) programme is through the entrance exam (PTET). For appearing in the entrance exam a candidate must fullfil the minimum eligibility as displayed on the official website.
Duration : 4 years (annual pattern)
Approved by : Government of Rajasthan & National Council for Teacher’s Education (NCTE), New Delhi

The teacher education program is a systematic plan of knowledge and activities wrapped in the form of a course to help the students of today become the professional of tomorrow. Teacher education programme facilitates professionals to contribute to attaining the national goal. It refers to the policies, procedures and provisions designed to equip the prospective teacher with the knowledge, attitude, behaviour and skill they require performing their task effectively in the classroom, school and the wider community.

As per norms and standards, NCTE, the four-year integrated Programme aims at integrating general studies comprising science (B.Sc. B.Ed.) and Social Science and Humanities (B.A. B.Ed.), and professional studies comprising the foundation of education, pedagogy of school subjects and practicum related to the tasks and functions of a school teacher. It maintains a balance between theory and practice, and coherence and integration, among the components of the program, representing the wide knowledge base of a secondary school teacher.

Objectives:

• Developing a sort of awareness in trainers about self and society
• Inculcating values of self discipline, self-reliance, truth and honesty etc
• Providing opportunities for a positive social attitude.
• Making teacher trainees sensitive to the value need of children
• Providing awareness about education for peace

For fulfilling these aims and objectives and contributing to national development, the institute took initiative and established the Department of Education for running B.A. B. Ed/B.Sc. B. Ed four year integrated programme from session 2018-19

Learning Outcomes :
After completing these courses, students will be able to understand basic concepts and ideas of educational theory. She will build understanding and perspective on the nature of the learner, diversity and learning. Student will develop an understanding of the concept of assessment and its practices and analyze the structure of knowledge as reflected in disciplinary streams and subjects. Lastly, student will gain an ability to communicate effectively.

Career Opportunities :
These integrated programmes unlock the multiple career options in the field of education. After completion of this degree, students can go for teaching jobs in different government and private institutions. They develop the traits of being potentially employable in government schools, private schools, etc.

Add on and Skill Based Courses :
To enhance the employability and skill set of the student, the department offers various skill-based programs and add-on courses to choose from. Students are counseled and encouraged to enroll in these courses at the beginning of the session. A student may register for any of these courses by paying an additional fee.
