On 25th February 2023, the PG Department of Geography of Shri Ratanlal Kanwarlal Patni Girls’ College, Kishangarh organized a one-day National Seminar on "Recent Advances in Geography and Sustainable Development" in collaboration with "The E-learning Institute of Geo-informatics Technology, New Delhi". The seminar was organized in hybrid mode, with both in-person and virtual attendance options available.
Ms. Rohini Yadawar (Assistant Professor, Department of Geography) was the Organizing Secretary of the seminar gave a brief introduction to the event, and invited dignitaries.
Dr. Ravi Sharma, the Principal of the college, also addressed the gathering. He highlighted the importance of conducting such events in the college for the students, as they provide a platform for students to learn about new advancements and trends in their field of study, and interact with experts in the field. He appreciated the efforts put in by the PG Department of Geography and the E-learning Institute of Geo-informatics Technology, New Delhi, for organizing such an informative seminar, and thanked the guest speakers for sharing their valuable insights and knowledge with the participants. 
The chief guest, Prof. Subroto Dutta, the renowned geographer, and Controller of Examination, MDS University, Ajmer inaugurated the event. The keynote address was given by Dr. Milan Yadav, Head, Department of Geography, Government College, Ajmer, who highlighted the importance of Remote Sensing and GIS in today's world and their potential in achieving sustainable development goals.
Dr. Milan Yadav, the Head of the Department of Geography, Government College, Ajmer, is a distinguished academician and researcher in the field of geography. He recently expressed his views at the national seminar on recent advancements in geography and sustainable development, which he attended as a keynote speaker. According to him, the seminar provided an excellent platform for researchers, scholars, and policymakers to exchange their knowledge and ideas on the latest trends and advancements in geography and sustainable development. He emphasized the need to address the challenges of sustainable development, such as climate change, natural resource management, and urbanization, through a multidisciplinary approach, involving geographers, environmentalists, social scientists, and policymakers. He also stressed the importance of incorporating local knowledge and community participation in sustainable development initiatives. 
CA Subhash Agarwal, Director and Secretary of the college addressed the gathering and congratulated the entire team for the successful conduction of the seminar. He appreciated the efforts put in by the PG Department of Geography and the E-learning Institute of Geo-informatics Technology, New Delhi, for organizing such an informative seminar. He also praised the guest speakers for sharing their valuable insights and knowledge with the participants. He highlighted the importance of Geography and its role in sustainable development and encouraged the participants to continue exploring and learning about this field. He also acknowledged the role of the organizing committee, led by Ms. Rohini Yadawar, in making the seminar a great success. His words of appreciation and encouragement were a morale boost for the entire team and will inspire them to continue organizing such informative seminars in the future.
The seminar comprised three technical sessions, each focusing on different aspects of Remote Sensing and GIS. The first technical session was by Mr Dhruv Saxena, the co-founder of The E-learning Institute of Geoinformatics, New Delhi. Mr Saxena is an avid researcher in the field of geoinformatics, particularly in image classification, processing, and geo-tagging features. The second technical session of the seminar was taken by Mr. Aman Kakkar, the co-founder of The E-learning Institute of Geoinformatics, New Delhi. Mr. Kakkar is an expert in spatial trend analysis, image processing, and GIS modeling, and his insights were very useful to the participants. The concluding technical session was taken by Ms. Shubhangi Raman another key member of The E-Learning Institute of Geoinformatics, New Delhi. 
Mr. Himanshu Singh Mahawar (Co-organizing Secretary) delivered the vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude to the keynote speakers, presenters, and participants for their valuable contributions and insights on the latest trends and advancements in geography and sustainable development. In total, around 150 participants, including faculty members, research scholars, and students, participated in the seminar. The seminar concluded with a valedictory session, where certificates were distributed to the participants.
