On 21st and 22nd March, the PG Department of Zoology of Shri Ratanlal Kanwarlal Patni Girls College, Kishangarh organized a two day Educational Tour to Ranthambore (Sawai Madhopur).

The Educational Tour was organized by Mr. Vishvajeet Jaroli (H.O.D. of Zoology) along with two faculty members Ms. Vandana Joshi (Asst. Prof.) and Ms. Kanika Gupta (Asst. Prof.) of PG Department of Zoology and the students of UG and PG Dept. of Zoology volunteered for the trip.

The Vision of the tour was to expand  students  worldview of learning things by laying emphasis on Biodiversity which helps them to understand the animal behavior in their Natural Habitat and to reinforce classroom learning and to help students to gather information for their Project report by evaluating real life data.

Sh. Subhash Agarwal, Director and Secretary and Dr. Ravi Sharma, the Principal of the college, also supported the tour plan so as to deepen the social, economic and historical knowledge of local culture and aim to enhance the sense of curiosity amongst them to learn, observe and analyze their surroundings.

The Mission to Ranthambore Tour was commenced on 21st March 2023, where students headed to Ranthambore National Park. The Fauna of Ranthambore National Park is unique in it is way consisting of around 320 species of birds, 40 species of mammals, more than 35 species of reptiles and about 300 types of flora species. The students witnessed Tiger, Sambar deer, spotted deer, Owl, Rufous bird, crocodile, Peacocks, Wild boar, Parrots.

The next day, trip headed to Ranthambore Fort situated amidst of tiger sanctuary strengthened by massive fortification provided with seven gateways and comprising of Hindu Temple, Jain Temple and Mosque and is famous for shrine of Lord Ganesha.

During afternoon, the students visited Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum of Natural History owned by Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Govt. of India which is a non-formal center for promoting environmental awareness, depicting country’s natural heritage. It also comprises a huge auditorium of about 300 seats where students watched wildlife documentary.
